Hey all! I’m Pink Combat Boots. I’m fairly new to this blog, but have blogged off and on in other blogs for the past four or five years. I grew up in central Pennsylvania on a farm and just recently had a dream wedding in a little country church (December 26th, 2010)! The groom was everything and more that I wanted! I am so blessed.
Hubby and I live in a college town now while he goes for his master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and I complete my Bachelors in Biblical Studies from home, via distance learning. Keeping our apartment nice, enjoying cooking, and settling into married life (which, I might add, has been awesome!) keep me busy. I’m always eager to meet new people, though I tend to be quiet in person.
My hubby is National Guard. Being military has opened us up to other challenges in life (with its pros and cons), but I’m happy and supportive with it. Currently, he drills once a month and will be going to BOLC B (Basic Officer Leadership Course) this summer and fall. He recently commissioned (December 2010) as a 2nd Lieutenant. I can’t begin to say how proud I am!
We also have a delightful Collie. He has settled into living here quite well, and absolutely adores my husband (he was my puppy before we got married, but adores hubby too). Hubby is quite good with him! It’s great to see them playing together. Sometimes hubby wins . . . and sometimes puppy does. 🙂

but somehow the toy and hubby switched places.)
So, there you have it. My life at present, seeking to grow to become the wife that I want to be and the woman God designed me to be, love a man, serve God, and experience life. God bless!

I’m getting my degree from Moody Bible Institute. They’re based in Chicago, but they offer a few degree programs through distance learning. 🙂 Hmm…Baptist Bible Graduate School? I don’t think I’ve heard of it, but that’s pretty cool! I’ve had a great distance learning experience. I hope you have too. Thanks for stopping by!
I’d thought about taking classes from Moody a few years ago, but it wasn’t God’s timing. Baptist Bible has an undergrad, grad, and seminary program. I’ve loved taking classes online, and would definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about doing it!
Are you local to Chicago? We’re about 2.5 southeast of the city.
Baptist Bible sounds good. 🙂 The only degree Moody offers through distance learning is an undergrad (and possibly an associates). I’ve really enjoyed online classes too! Actually, I’m not near Chicago, or even in Illinois. I’m back east in Pennsylvania.
